Removing a Lock Box Shackle

Remove Lock Box Shackle with Vault Enterprise App

1. Once you have downloaded the Master Lock Vault Enterprise app and registered your lock box, press any button on the lock box keypad to wake your lock box. The lock box will now appear under the Awake tab in the app.
2. To remove the shackle, open the lock box details page by tapping the lock box name and then touch the Remove Shackle button.
3. Your lock box will light green and you can then remove the shackle within 5 seconds.
4. Push the shackle back in to the lock box firmly. Confirm the shackle is fully secure by listening for an audible click when the shackle locks.
5. Pull down on the lock box body to ensure the shackle is securely attached.

1. Press and hold the Clear button and, while holding the Clear button, then press and hold the first digit of your primary code (See illustration i).
2. Release the Clear button and the first digit, then enter the reset of the primary code.
3. When the light turns green, remove the shackle within 5 seconds or it will relock.
4. Push the shackle back in to the lock box firmly. Confirm the shackle is fully secure by listening for an audible click when the shackle locks.
5. Pull down on the lock box body to ensure the shackle is securely attached.

 

Note: Pressing the Clear button erases all input and restarts the process.

 

Trouble Shooting Tips
Removing the Shackle

Below are tips to trouble shoot your lock box when removing the shackle.

1. Pull up on the shackle until shackle mechanism can be felt to engage. In general, the shackle should be able to slide up and down a small amount when it is attached to the lock box body.
2. Hold the lock box body steady and push down on only the left shackle leg into the lock box.
3. To remove the shackle without using the app can only be done with the Primary code, not the Secondary or Temporary code:
   • Press and hold the center button.
   • Press and release the first digit of the Primary Code.
   • Release the center button.
   • Proceed to press and release the rest of your Primary Code after the first digit.
   • You should see a green light and hear a click.
4. Maintain control of the lock box body and pull on the shackle to remove the shackle from the lock box.
5. You can also try and remove the shackle if you can get it turned upside down allowing gravity to help you.

Inserting the Shackle
Below are tips to trouble shoot your lock box when inserting the shackle.

1. Refresh the shackle release by completing a manual shackle unlock using the primary code and clear button on the keypad as outlined in the above directions.
2. After you see a green light, firmly insert the shackle and wait until the green light disappears.
3. After you insert the shackle, look for a blue light and a click. Then pull on the lock body to ensure that the shackle is securely attached.
